NFA calls up 33 for U/20 AFCON Qualifiers

In preparations for the upcoming 2019 CAF Under-20 AFCON qualifiers, the Namibia Football Association (NFA) started with a training camp for 33 players called up with the final team. The team will face Botswana in the first round.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) recently announced the draw for the Niger 2019 AFCON U/20 and Namibia will face neighbors Botswana during the first round with the first leg for Gaborone between 30 March to 01 April and the second leg in Windhoek between 20-22 April.
33 players are in the provisional squad for the first training camp this weekend.
NFA Secretary General Barry Rukoro said other players will also be identified during the 2018 The Namibian Newspaper Cup that will take place in Katima Mulilo during the Easter weekend to be considered for the second leg.
The winner of the Namibia/Botswana tie will proceed to the second round to face Congo in May.
The winner of that match will advance to the third and final rounds of the qualifiers where Senegal or Egypt awaits in July.
The tournament will be hosted by Niger in 2019 with the four semi-finalists qualifying for the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup, whose host will be announced next month.
Here is the provisional team: Vipua Tjimune, Stanley Ndjavera, Mbajoroka Kahuure, Augustinus Hobexab, Ronaldo Zaahl, Natangwe Petrus, Moses Muundjua, Eldery Morgan, Enzo Mungendje and Rivaldo Laksman (Khomas), Kamaijanda Ndisiro, Eric !Naobeb (Omaheke), Phillipus Joseph,  Hubert Mingeri and Kavemuli Kandjeo (Otjozondjupa), Nareri Munika,  Bonafius Kameya (Kavango East),  Jariretundu Tjahikika, Lubeni Haukongo, Aprocius Petrus, Mbakondja Tjahikika, Gerhard Mwahenukange and Godwin Awaseb (Erongo), Junior Petrus (Oshana), Randal Ochurub,  Rhoney Hangula (Oshikoto), Salufu Mulonda (Zambezi),  Giovani Kaninab (Kunene), Juninho Gertze and  Gavin Kotungondo (Hardap) and Tangi Hamunyela (Ohangwena).
