Everyone wants to succeed in life but only a few will truly be happy for your success. Human nature has it that, people in general will only support your goals and dreams until you make it and end up doing better than them in life.
It starts off so simple and innocent. Majority of the time it is always someone whom you regard as a friend or family member. They start changing their attitude towards you, which leads to you questioning yourself on what you may have done wrong only to find out later that they were never happy for your achievements.
These type of people are always around when you plan on making big moves and pretend to cheer you on and encourage you to keep pushing; until you wake up one day and decided to share the good news of your success with them, but to your surprise they are nowhere to be found.
At times some even choose to surround themselves around you just to make sure you do not make it. When they see you going the extra mile and being one step closer to doing good they always tend to be the first ones in your ear whispering “Don’t or Are you sure?” just to try and hinder your focus and slow you down.
Why is it that people hate to see others make a success of their lives, as if they do not get the same number of hours in a day to make a positive change for themselves?
They’ll bring forth reasons as to why you should not do certain things and then end up trying to do the same thing they advise you not to do to their advantage.
Along that same line the bad mouthing from them starts, the rumours start floating around of how they might have fed you, pushed you to do better and now that you have made it you feel like you are above them.
I see this as a jealousy roller coaster to be quite honest, because they start avoiding you and make it seem as if you boast way too much because of the so called achievements you have acquired.
The truth is that only a few people really want you to get somewhere in life and that would probably be you and your parents.
Your significant other may also want you to succeed but not all the time because they may feel like you are more capable to do stuff which can sometimes mess with their self-esteem.
However I encourage you to never let this stop you from being the best that you can be, continue to work hard and continue to out shine the person you were before because at the end of the day you are all you ever can really trust and no one else.
Cut people out of your life that hate to see you do well, because they are indeed a waste of time, space and investment.
They do not deserve to be a part of your success, not one bit, because all they want to bring to your life is negativity and to drain your energy, which at times can rub off on you and cause you to pick up their bad attributes.
Being humble is something everyone should practice. However that does not mean that when you reach your pentacle of success you should not be proud and open to share it with the world.
It took you time and effort to reach your goal of success so do not let people force you to walk on egg shells, just to make them comfortable.
