Just when you thought his first would be his last, it is indeed just be beginning! Namibia’s very own 50 Cent look-alike will be going for the Namibia Annual Music Awards this year. He goes by the name Get Rich and it was not too long ago when he became the talk of town when he released his debut ‘Get Rich Get Money’ with a video. The video was soon followed by a full album.
“Since the release of my first album, the fans have been very supportive and I want to thank them by giving them another album and a spot in the Namibia Annual Music Awards,” said the Hip-hop and rap artist from Grootfontein.
Get Rich recently dropped another single titled ‘My Namibia’ a hit he looks forward to making it with to the NAMAs nominee list. And for the best video category, Get Rich will be looking forward to landing his video titled ‘If I die my music never dies’ a spot.
“When I released my first video, the big artists called me for collabos. It was big moment and I appreciate the Namibian business community for booking me for shows since the release of my album. After the NAMAs last year, my fans asked me to be part of the NAMAs this year, so I want to give them that,” he said smilingly.
The rather daring and motivated sensation is working on his full second album that will be launched early next year. He says the fans should expect nothing but real talk. He promises to give them his very best.
Asked about the big names he wishes to work with on his next album, Get Rich dropped names of music gurus such as Jericho, Kalux, Young T, Exit, Dupa and others as partners on the remaining songs for his album.
“I’m very happy with the Namibian people. I appreciate their support and push in the industry. Upcoming artists should also just push because it will pay of one day. We are lucky to have the support of the fans so all they should do is give their best.”
