Song Night wraps up for 2017!

With a stellar line-up of 16 acts – Song Night sets out to have an unforgettable African Fest year end bash on Wednesday, 30 August at the Warehouse Theatre.

The 2017 Song Night ambassador, Frans Marti said that the theme ‘African Fest’ will celebrate who they are, what makes them unique, and how the rhythm is engraved in them moving forward.

It’s been a successful year for Song Night with a key number of song nighters landing paying jobs because of their appearances at song night.

Lize Ehlers, the Song Night director assured that the year-end bash has a line-up that will move people’s hearts and feet. “Bring along your dancing shoes because it’s going to be a very significant show full of messages and melody,” she added.

Acts to take the stage are: Priscilla ‘The Namibian Dessert Queen’, Bradley Anthony, Sean K, Danielle Gilbert, Dolar, Treza, Nashawn, Poppy, Hage, Maxwell, Ori, Zikizee, Marius, Frans, Christopher and Asheeqa.

Song Night usually has five concerts per year however, this year there has only been three held due to other responsibilities that had to be taken care of.

The first concert of the song night this year was held in February under the theme ‘The roots of Love’ while the second one was held in June under the theme ‘Healing Vibes’.

The Song Night has been a free platform that develops upcoming vocal talent in Namibia since 2011.

Tickets to the year-end bash will be available at the door for N$70.
