Just when we were about to shut the chapter on vocal and acapella sensation VM Six, the greats graced us with a warm appearance at the recently-held Miss Namibia 2017 pageant over the weekend. And if you have not had enough of them, they will be singing from South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe and Zambia tomorrow at the NTN.
The crowd were surprised by their appearance while the group delivered what they are known to do best. Dressed in their rather smart official look, the group showed the audience that they still have a lot to offer and are miles far from done and dusted.
The Lounge caught up with the group to enquire about what they have being doing during their time away from the music stages.
“Firstly it was an exciting experience last weekend at Miss Namibia. The reception was overwhelming and we could see that the crowd was really enjoying us. So we are happy to be back.
“Well, during our time away, we have been busy in the studio busy with our fourth album which we wish to drop by October. It will be an exciting project and our fans can only expect better,” said Mark of the Vocal Motion Six.
Mark said the album will feature the best of and matured acapella with a mix of traditional and rich African sounds – “it will be heavy stuff,” he said.
The album will be titled ‘Three Kings.’ While we wait for the album, Mark said fans can expect a few videos to drop leading to the release of ‘Three Kings.’
“We are still alive and kicking very hard. There is so much energy in us and Namibians should look forward for greater things with VM Six.”
Tomorrow, the VM Six will feature in a show at the National Theatre of Namibia with ‘Jasper Sea’ from Zambia, ‘Stand’ from Zimbabwe, ‘Vibes’ from Angola and the local group Elshadai. Tickets are N$150 per person as doors open at 18h30.
