Driving past the Warehouse Theatre one can’t help but look up and be mesmerized about how chilled the people look from up there. The Loft is the latest edition to the Warehouse Theatre’s area of entertainment corners and perfect for a sundowner. It was officially opened to the public on 28 October 2016 and it has since been the place of choice for Windhoekers.

Conny Pimenta, one of the general managers of the Warehouse Theatre says that The Loft is very different from the boiler room beneath it. “The lounge provides a laid back and chilled atmosphere. It is a relaxed upscale lounge,” she said.

As you make your way up through the stairs you are welcomed by the high ceilings, oversized windows, modern rustic decor, friendly service and a spacious welcome area. The Loft is the perfect place to have a quick snack like an original Namibian inspired burger or some potjie kos, before a show in the theatre.

One can also enjoy a leisurely sundowner on their famous sundeck. As The Loft is situated in the heart of Windhoek watching the sun set with your spouse or a few friends is the perfect way to close your evening. “The Loft offers a completely different music experience with various DJs on the deck,” said Conny.

The lounge brings together people from all walks of life age, race and religion. With such a conducive socializing atmosphere it unites friends and gives the opportunity for one to meet new people.

The Loft is situated above the Boiler Room at the Warehouse Theatre, 48 Tal Street, Windhoek. Doors are open from 16h00 to late, Tuesdays – Saturdays.

Courage the Comedian will be celebrating his graduation party at The Loft on 13 April 2017. The event will take place from 19h00 till late. The stage will be graced by stand-up comedian Mo She and DJ Slim on the decks. Entrance will be N$50. Opened to everyone in the public so be sure to make your way through to experience Namibian lounging at its best.
