I am sure that you have heard of this saying a lot of times now, yes ‘A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step’ but I think that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a strategy, which is the first step, of course. Ever heard of a strategy? Yes, that careful plan for achieving that particular goal.
If you take a step before you know where you are stepping, you will mess up. Thus, having a vision is a step towards avoiding deception or destruction. We live in a world filled with so many things and each and every single day of our lives, we are presented with so many opportunities.
I also believe in making use of opportunities presented to me but I should tell you that taking in everything that is put to your mouth is very dangerous, it could poison you.
What I am trying to say here is that you should know what you want in life because if you know what you desire and where you are headed to, it will be much easier for you to take the right route that will take you to your desired destination. If you are a lost soul that has no idea of where you want to be, I feel sorry for you boo because life is gonna throw to you the left-overs and you are going to take whatever comes.
Which might be a good thing but just so you know it’s not going to last for you because everything that comes to your face will be appealing and you are going to want it.
Thinking of how detrimental that could be to you? You will lack stability and that means when the wind blows west you go west and when it blows east you go east too.
In the journey of life, you have to have a vision of where you are going. And when you have a vision, then you will know which road is right. The tragedy with many of us is that, not only are we on the road to nowhere, we are moving at a dangerously fast pace thereby putting ourselves at risk. But hey, hold up, moderate does it best. Just make sure that you are getting there.
Are you on the road to nowhere? Are you doing something for no particular reason? Look out and take the next exit. Then drive to a safe spot and rethink your journey.
Here is a pinch of advice for you. Firstly, think of where you want to be and think if it’s the place where you would want to spend half of your life, if not for the rest of your life. Secondly, get a map and search for the best way you could get there.
I wish I could tell you to take the safest way but I believe in going through hardship. Be careful not to take short-cuts, I am not going to explain why short-cuts are inconvenient today but just take my word for it. Finally, prepare for the road. Be ready for rain, rocks and thirst. Hit the road and good luck!
Just be strategic, you will get there!
