Elemotho ready for German Tour


Namibian musician Elemotho Mosimane is set to capture the hearts of music lovers on the stages of Germany during the 2016 Afro-Acoustic Experience.
This experience is once again an opportunity for Elemotho to make headlines in Europe with his unique and solid acoustic sound with messages that create an utopia through music. He leaves the country on Sunday.
Elemotho has been doing solo performances up to playing with a seven piece band. He creates a solid and transparent sound with messages that create a utopia through music.
The artist is also the first Namibian musician to win the RFI-France 24 Discoveries Awards in 2012 among a list of more than 500 Africans, Indian and Pacific artists. With his third album to his name, ‘Ke Nako’ (its time), the hard working artist has taken his new sound of the Kalahari everywhere from Accra, Addis Ababa, Dakar, Antananarivo to Khartoum.
“I am ready for this tour and cannot express my gratitude for all the love I have received this far,” said the artist. The band has been travelling around and they are very excited about going places. “We recently came from South Africa where we performed at the Kgalagadi Jazz festival in Kuruman and the love we received was overwhelming. I really love music and being on the road,” he added.
Having been in the music industry for about 20 years, Elemotho already shared the stage with the likes of UB40, Sinead O’Connor, Johnny Clegg, Ismael Lo, Vusi Mahlasela, Busi Mlhongo, Habib Koite, Sargent Garcia, Carlinhos Brown, Gentleman, Salif Keita, Erica Badú, The Wailers, Youssou N ́ Dour, Natasha Atlas and Dobet Gnahoré.
He believes that things can only get better and that he will continue to reach greater heights.
“Singing to bigger crowds and on a bigger stage is my destiny,” he exuded. Elemotho will also be going to Hollywood soon where he will feature his songs ‘Neo’ and ‘La Vida’ in Season 2 of the Netflix series Grace and Frankie, starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Martin Sheen and many more.
