Our schedules get so hectic that all one would think of is a dose of fresh air, not to mention some peace and quietness to unwind. In such a soul stirring country with a spectacular natural beauty, remote and intimate lodges, as well as a rich diversity of cultures and wildlife, it might be so hard to decide as to where one would want to go. To help you get out of that rut and plan on your next vacation within a twinkling of an eye, we have listed 3 of the very best places to visit.

Onkoshi Camp
Located in seclusion, on the rim of the majestic Etosha Salt Pan and far away from the public self-drive routes, Onkoshi provides a beautiful escape within the Etosha National Park. The 15 freestanding chalets overlook the vast pan, which is home to a variety of exotic wildlife, including a crowd of pink flamingos and 4 of the big 5 game in the rainy season. The unobstructed panoramic sunrises and sunsets are spectacular sights to behold. At night, the stars fill the vast open African sky, allowing for sensational stargazing opportunities.
The exclusive chalets are built on elevated wooden decks, with thatched roofs and large, wooden-framed retractable doors permitting spectacular panoramic views. Rooms are tastefully equipped with locally crafted fittings and furnishings to create a natural ambiance. Each chalet has two queen beds, except in the honeymoon chalet where a king-size bed is provided.

The restaurant and bar at Onkoshi ensure a succulent and delightful evening for all. Guests may relax on the sun deck or by the swimming pool that overlooks the breath-taking Etosha pan. Onkoshi organizes morning and afternoon game drives, allowing guests to indulge their curiosity in Namibian flora and fauna, and offers them a remarkable photography opportunity. With no less than 15 waterholes, wildlife sightings are very common around the camp and provide excellent photography opportunities. Black and white Rhino have often been spotted at the Klip-pan waterhole. Moreover, the specially arranged game drives bring you to the most exclusive areas of the park, generally only known to conservationists. This area is also home to hundreds of plant species, which bloom at different time of the year, giving Dolomite Camp its seasonal cadence of colors, aroma and mood. It is a must-see for botany enthusiasts.
